Mr. Louis West

Months after all the ballyhoo, Kanye announced his collaboration with French multinational giant, Louis Vuitton. The sneakers collaboration was launched last month.KANYE WEST x LOUIS VUITTON.
For seasons, we’ve questioned Kanye’s cameo during fashion week – Front row seats and the constant hogging of limelight of street photographers. Months after all the ballyhoo, Kanye announced his collaboration with French multinational giant, Louis Vuitton. The sneakers collaboration was launched last month.
Inspired by the movie Dune, the shoes have both the sci-fi feel inspired by the heavily padded collars, with a little bit of old-school vibe of course.
According to his interview in style: , the focus of the shoe was its back flap, “ I have always worn long jeans and they hang by the shoes and they get ripped. Right now, I tuck it in the back tongue and nothing tears”.In times of economic crisis, practicality is the way to go and relying on designs alone won’t do.
Price ranges from $840- to $1140, available at Louis Vuitton stores
It's New....NEW

The AW09/10 New Look lookbook (trying saying that really really fast, four times in a row!) landed in my inbox last night, and I have to say I'm rather impressed. New Look isn't a store that I would usually pay much attention to, for no reason other than the horrorific outfits school friends wore back in the 90s. Things really have changed, as you'll see below. The Primark lookbook featured huge shoulders and massively on-trend pieces which were actually rather covetable, however I very much doubt they would ever reach production. New Look however, have worked the trends and moulded them for their target consumer. There are some quite obvious catwalk rip-offs (off the top of my head - Wang, Balmain, Versace and Gucci), but what retailer isn't doing that these days? With dresses averaging at around £30 and nothing over£100, we could all do with a little NL in our wardrobes!

3SIXTEEN

3sixteen, they have grown from a small streetwear label into an up and coming menswear brand in less than 2 years and their Fall 2009 Collection is looking really good. Especially the outerwear has attracted our attention – double breasted coats and peacoats make up the key pieces of the collection, which is completed with a solid line-up of shirts and knitwear, as well as some stand-out accessories.

When The Paint Drops

Lacoste got together with Sneakersnstuff and local Stockholm streetculture legend Jonas Wiehager to collaborate on a double pack of the Rene Lacoste low top sneaker. The Superdrop sneaker was designed by Jonas Wiehager, who made a name in the scene for himself with his store Boutique Sportif and later on with his own art and clothing line. He was inspired by paint drops from a paint brush. The sneaker comes in a black/grey colorway and features his signature on the heel.
The multicolor square colorway is designed by the SneakersnStuff team and continues to celebrate their 10th anniversary this year. Both sneakers are limited to 124 pairs and will be released on September 25th at Sneakersnstuff in Stockholm.

What Time Period Is This?

Harper’s Bazaar US takes a time machine back to the 1940s for their September issue with “Fashion…And All That Jazz”. The black and white editorial features Chanel Iman and Arlenis Sosa in designs by Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga and MaxMara. As modern as the clothes may be, photographer Peter Lindbergh and stylist Brana Wolf, still manage to highlight the sophisticated style and glamour that the 1940s is known for.
