BRAND RELEASE: BOURGEOIS INK
With spring comes new brand releases.
New brands and designers are always an exciting
venture for me. I personally thrive of others creativity and their ability to bring what was ideas, to an actual life form.
I head the pleasure of meeting founder and head of Bourgeois Ink at a fashion panel I spoke at.
Great conversations and ideas were exchanged there.
Now, Bourgeois Ink is releasing their first tee this Wednesday and I have a few details behind the brand, the design concept, and the why this tee was selected as the release.

But of course, editor in chief of An-Mag captures another editorial for the print release issue. The concept I personal love the most, is the editing.
INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHTS
Should there be a set standard as to what style is? Like an unwritten code as to what you should do and what should never be accepted. I don't believe so. Your wardrobe is means of expression and a direct reflection of who you are. Why not embrace your individuality. There are so many different styles, so many different concepts, so many different eras to play into your wardrobe. Who is anyone to outline a boundary for you to stay within....
ARTFUL CONSTRUCTION
I'm a true admirer of avant garde designers. They construct the most beautiful pieces,
and reflect a new form of art. These pieces were designed by James Hock, a London based designer.
I'm so excited about the feature interview I'm currently working on for him.

Fresh Printz S/S 2010 Collection of Shades
The collection is very fun. It offers a variety of prints, designs, colors,and everything spring like.
My personal favorite would have to be the "Pussy" pair.

I think my style reflects more of a dainty side than a street wear side, but there are so many ways I can play with pieces of this collection and that's what intrigues me.
Miss Lawn recently did a video interview with DJ Premium about the brand and it's development as the years progress.
Play attention to what's in store for 2010. She mentions a lot of collaborations, one of which we know is with melody Ehsani(thanks to the cocaine interview) and also a menswear line.
I love watching companies grow and develop their brand so this is pretty exciting to me.

TO THE BEAT BOLLIGER
Beat Bolliger is an amazing fashion editor/ stylist. Reflecting over previous editorials,
they're very vivid and eccentric. He's able to tell a story and express emotion
through his work. If there was no model, no photographer, and just the styling pieces,
I could read emotion based off that alone. When you can successfully store
this within your readers/viewers, you're amazing.
