QUITE YIPPIES

Real girls appreciate vintage.

Yippies Vintage was set and signed to be delivered a month ago. Owner and lifestyle
blogger Chachaching launched the site, now everybody's getting their card numbers
punched. The collection is filled with prints, patterns, and bold colors. From tough
leather jackets and cut off denim short shorts,to glove fitting rompers and flapper
dresses, the variety and unique finds are amazing.
Visit the website at http://yippiesvintage.bigcartel.com/ .

P.S> I had a blast modeling for her website.

WHAT"S YOUR FUNKSHION

The underground fashion and art culture continues to flourish,
and we have to be there to capture it all. Exposing new designers
and their collections, this month's Funkshion will include two
female designers and a performance by Mr.Jay Scott himself.
Press Release Bitch:

"Its the force behind our abilities. The devotion that adheres to our craft. The freedom of our expression. We don’t subdue to societal norms. We redefine them. This is how people like us FUNKshion. On August 20, Art Nouveau Magazine, GreatEclectic & The-Socials.com team with HOP Models and Talent Agency, Fem-FATL, Cocaine Pretti, Elizane Productions, and Peach City Style for the second installment of the Fashion Night Outevent series.
FUNKshion will feature a night illuminated by bold prints, loud patterns and vibrant colors courtesy of designers Sojourner E.S. and Rafael Cox. These two fresh faces have a design aesthetic that’s a stitch above the rest. Drawing inspiration from fashion houses like Betsy Johnson and Yves Saint Laurent, both Sojourner and Rafael’s collections are the perfect merger of sophistication and funk."

THE COLOUR OF BEAUTY

Model Renee Thompson brings awareness to racism in the modeling industry
with a short documentary titled "The Colour of Beauty". Thompson not only
offered her perspective, she took note of other's thoughts in the industry as well.
What really intrigues me with this issue is everyone is aware of it, everyone
acknowledges it, yet people have become so accustomed to it, it's considered
the "norm".

Here's The Documentary:

I love the statement referencing the emerging markets in the industry.
She states "If designers continue to send all white models down the
runway, they run the risk of becoming irrelevant."

TAKE OFF YOUR COOL

Work smart play hard.
Few shots, couple drinks, and this is what my bedroom floor looks like.
Who are you to pass judgment? These are the times of my life.
I've began the unscripted content to a new chapter. A new beginning if you will.
Few projects, possible collaborations, and a new job.....
It's never a 9 to 5 that I speak of though.
Stay tuned.

AN UNTOLD STORY

Who is Kendrick Daye?
I've come to learn there's no simplified response to this, but there isn't a complex
theory either. When you're this skilled in numerous crafts, the world
deserves to know. Expect his story to be cut and served real soon.

COCO&BREEZYxTHE-SOCIALS

In a world of disapproving stares and premeditated judgement,
it's survival of the fittest.
Never mind the numerous reasons accessory designers Coco&Breezy made
their way to Atlanta, just know the city buzzed around their presence.

Dane from lifestyle blog the-socials sparked a gathering at the art nouveau
headquarters for productive works of course. Shot by Kendrick D. ,
there were flicks and an interview to seal the deal.
Here are some behind the scene shots:

Just because I love you guys so much, here's a quick video for a nice tease.

THIS IS JUST STYLE

Fashion is as fashion does. Yet style creates the art behind fashion. Or does it? After the constant repetition of a certain industry, the facts/opinions blur and it all seems the same. You can say style is the garment selection and how you pair it with the correct everything, from shoes to accessories. But what determines that "it" factor. Is style more socially set than actually existing?

Then again, you roam the underground streets of any country, state, or city, and you'll see "styles" so artistically correct, it makes you ponder their social influence and rather they had any influence at all.

Who really determines style?
